Intel announces world’s fastest 13th Gen Core mobile processors at CES 2023

Intel Corp. has announced the 13th Gen Intel Core mobile processors at CES 2023. In January 2023, Intel announced the mobile processors that bring superior performance and experiences to mobile platforms. Intel introduced 32 new 13th Gen Intel Core mobile processors with a rich suite of features and capabilities for all laptop segments.

Intel announced the 13th Gen Intel Core mobile processor family, led by the launch of the new flagship Intel Core i9-13980HX, the first 24-core processor for a laptop and world’s fastest mobile processor. It has introduced the 13th Gen Intel Core H-, P- and U-series mobile processors to power the latest enthusiast, thin-and-light laptop designs and IoT devices. Intel shared the Intel Evo laptop specification that features longer real-world battery life and new multi-device experience, Intel Unison.

There are four versions of the processor. HX at 55W stands for extreme performance. H-series is thin enthusiast at 45W. P-series is for performance that is thin and light at 28W. U-series is modern thin and light at 15W. It also launched the Intel processor N-series for entry-level computing.

Intel 13th Gen Core HX platform is the fastest mobile processor with first 24-core, up to 5.6 GHz. It has the best gaming laptop platform, supporting Intel Killer, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth LE Audio, and Thunderbolt 4. It is built for enthusiasts and professionals, such as creators, gamers, scientists, and engineers.

Features include advanced performance hybrid, with up to 24-core: 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores, enhanced Intel Thread Director, and broad overclocking support with all HX SKUs unlocked. It offers broad memory support with up to DDR5-5600 and DDR4-3200, up to 128GB RAM (4 DIMM, 2 DPC), and dynamic overclocking with XMP3.0 support. It also offers leading IO and connectivity, with support for PCIe Gen5 x16 (or 2×8), up to 2x discrete Thunderbolt 4 controllers, and support for Intel Killer, Wi-Fi 6E, and BT LE Audio.

It offers powerful mobile performance, with single-thread performance increasing by 11 percent, and multitask performance increasing by 49 percent. 3D rendering performance is also enhanced by 79 percent and 74 percent, respectively, across BMW and Laudromat CPUs.

Besides being built for creators, it offers amazing game performance that is up to 12 percent faster. It also boasts leading wireless connectivity for enthusiasts. Also, 60+ incredible HX designs are available across a wide range of performance laptop form factors.

13th Gen Intel Core mobile processors in H-series, P-series, and U-series have advanced hybrid performance that boost up to 10 percent faster office productivity. They offer the best-in-class connectivity, and will be powering the newest, fastest laptops that will be coming to over 250 designs in 2023. New Intel Iris Xe Graphics features include endurance gaming, XeSS super sampling, and Intel Arc control. Intel Movidius VPU for laptops offer discrete module for AI acceleration.

Intel Evo driving innovations
Intel Evo is now driving innovations for future PC experiences. There are over 100 Evo designs supporting our mission. 25 verification tasks and checks for each design, and three open labs to test and validate components. 900+ components were tested in Intel Project Athena Open Labs.
